Seminars
Sentinel provides both consultation to churches and training in a seminar format, including retreats. Our aim is to bring truths that transform, not merely information. Below are some of the seminar topics. Compensation is negotiable.
Creating A Culture of HonorLearn honorable ways to address conflict while learning how to differentiate between "a fight worth having" and unworthy conflicts. Kevin’s teaching is not aimed at controlling outcomes, which are never guaranteed, but helping followers of Christ learn to behave well in the context of conflict while doing everything they can to maximize the chance for reconciliation or at the very least, mutual respect. MarriageKevin and Laura, his wife of nearly 45 years, are as different as two people can possibly be yet somehow their relationship has steadily grown. Kevin loves to help couples grow deeper and his many practical ideas will help restore hope to your marriage.
Grace is a young, recently married gal who loves to speak to younger folks on the dangers of a too-idealistic or too-pessimistic view of marriage, coming from her own experience with both. Phyllis has walked through abusive marriages and has received powerful insights from her own experiences with the struggle of marriage and divorce. Helping Others Experience the Love of GodGrace Johnson and Kevin McClure (or either of them) will provide helpful insight that will enable you to make a step further into the experience of God's love that is unconditional, inexhaustible and impartial. As you marinate in God's love, you will be increasingly transformed and empowered so that you can more fully embody the love of God and help others to experience it also.
Leadership Development People are usually hired for their gifts but hired for their character deficiencies. When Paul coached Timothy about what to look for in leaders (1 Timothy 3:1-7), he emphasized character over gifting by a 19 to 1 ratio. The focus of this training is on developing the heart of a leader.
Pastoral CompensationDenominational guidelines and surveys rarely, if ever, provide the Bible’s perspective on this. Kevin provides biblical teaching that brings clarity and direction.

Adiaphora
What? It’s a fancy word that refers to that category of things that the Bible neither commands nor prohibits, about which Christians may disagree (without necessarily being disagreeable), which are not of eternal consequence. Sorting out the essentials from the non-essential matters of the faith can help your church avoid unnecessary squabbles and create a culture of true unity without requiring uniformity. Augustine said, “In essentials, unity; in non essentials liberty; in all things charity or love.”
Money Management
This is actually vital to your ability to be entrusted with the "true riches" of the Kingdom. Kevin takes an unconventional approach to personal money management, recognizing that there are many biblical principles, but no template for each person.
This seminar is based on Luke 16:10 & 11 and stresses that God is not anti wealth, but anti greed. Prayer & Spiritual WarfareLearn keys to more effective intercessory prayer that will help establish God’s kingdom in your life, church and community. This seminar focuses on unpacking binding and loosing prayer and becoming a change agent in your circle of influence.
Healing from the Brokenness of Past Wounds, Generational Curses, Etc.Kevin will provide a clear biblical basis for the practice of inner healing prayer and will provide hope and freedom from the inner wounds that keep us locked in unwholesome behaviors.
